The organisation is seeking a Head of Engineering to join the Bournemouth based team, applying Engineering expertise to lead design solutions, supporting all NPI projects, as well as mentoring junior staff. This is mainly a managerial role which will include some opportunity to be hands on. The Responsibilities of the Head of Engineer job Include: Managing and leading the research and development department Support the project managers to deliver projects that are on time and budget Oversee the execution and delivery of a combination of design and engineering & production activities Support the companies’ yearly goals to meet the company’s mission 2030 strategy Continuous improvement of standard engineering departmental processes and procedures The Requirements for this Bournemouth based, Head of Engineering job Include: Degree level qualification in mechanical of electrical design Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate, manage and develop teams Project management experience and training, with a knowledge of structured PM methodologieinteractionperience in using Lean- CI tools and techniques including designs for Six sigma, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, in a manufacturing engineering context.
