Automotive Controller Are you a talented Controller in the auto industry looking to take your career to the next level? We are growing and are looking for a talented Controller to assist in managing the day-to-day operations for assigned dealerships.The Controller will assist in providing day-to-day operational management of an extremely busy office. We're looking for a proven leader who can multi-task, work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, effectively communicate, and provide leadership to a high-volume administrative office.Responsibilities:Prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame. Ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, parts inventory, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and communicates developing trends.Participates in the preparation of short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.Provides department managers with detailed financial and management reports.Maintains an effective cash management system that forecasts cash funds and makes recommendations for the profitable use of excess cash.Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts. Notes any unusual entries and investigates.Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable and floor plan payable.Ensures that all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records and analyses and supervises the preparation of all information for the CPA in order to minimize audit or review costs.Ability to teach, mentor, and lead accounting staff.Ensures highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.QualificationsSelf-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environmentAbility to be analytical, problem solve, and multi-taskStrong leadership, high character, strong work ethic.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3 years dealership experienceWe offer a full benefits package including; Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance, 401(k),Paid Vacations, Paid Sick, Paid HolidaysWe are looking forward to meeting you!
