The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing developers in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and financing transactions. Knowledge of affordable housing tax credit transactions is considered a valuable asset. The candidate should be adept at handling title and survey reviews, drafting acquisition documents, and reviewing diverse loan documents. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and thrive in a fast-paced work setting. Admission to the Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Bar is mandatory, and the candidate should possess top academic and transactional credentials, along with excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.DutiesRepresent developers in complex commercial real estate transactions, focusing on acquisitions and public/private financing transactions.Handle affordable housing tax credit transactions, if applicable.Conduct title and survey reviews for real estate transactions.Draft acquisition documents and review a variety of loan documents.Collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment.RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.Experience with affordable housing tax credit transactions is a plus.Admission to the Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Bar.Strong fundamentals in title and survey review.Excellent drafting skills for acquisition documents.Proficiency in reviewing diverse loan documents.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsAdmission to the Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Bar.SkillsTop academic and transactional credentials.Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.Job LocationProvidence, RI Founded over 150 years ago, this large law firm has several offices across the country.
