Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of internal projects, in support of the Engineering function. The primary aim of these projects is to ensure the flow of Lithium: Ion cells; from receipt, through cell screening, qualification testing and acceptance analysis, ready to support the internal manufacturing of batteries for space applications. In addition, the Engineering Project Manager will also coordinate various internal development projects for technology, cost, and efficiency improvements, within the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the management of Lithium: Ion cells within Enersys ABSL; from receipt through to formal acceptance including: : Timely completion of cell qualification campaigns through Lot Acceptance Testing.Accelerated cell life testing and analysis, to forecast long: term performance in space.Investigation into new and emerging cell technologies for potential use in space applications.Performance evaluation of new cell types, to determine potential suitability.Managing internally and externally funded development projects within Engineering, e. g. battery redesign, process updates.
