Summary The Operations Intern program for the Simplot Global Food division is an integrated opportunity, giving you a broad understanding on the manufacturing process. You will learn about multiple processes involved to produce quality potato or vegetable products. This could include quality assurance, maintenance, sanitation, production, continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Assists in data analysis of projects Assists as needed on the floor to gather data and review/explain Complete specific job duties and projects while working with many different people and positions to gain understanding of various jobs in potato/vegetable processing Get great exposure to the manufacturing process of producing potato and vegetable products Typical Education Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university Strong academic record (suggested minimum 3.0 GPA), with a bachelor’s degree emphasis in Agriculture, Food Science, Business, Engineering Relevant Experience Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills Candidate must have average or above skills in excel, data analysis, and word Candidate must have an active interest in manufacturing and factory work Self-motivated, independent worker that can function under limited supervision Must have a positive attitude and possess good inter-personal skills Other Information Duration: May 1 - Aug 31, 2024 Rising Sophomore and up preferred, but not required This role will require shift flexibility and.
