JOB DESCRIPTION As an Instrument Controls Technician, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include: * Make electrical repairs to modern high-speed packaging equipment. * Perform preventive/predictive electrical maintenance tasks . * Analyzing and addressing the root causes of electrical issues in order to repair complex electrical equipment. * Maintaining AB, Siemens, and GE microprocessors (PLC), Servo motor drives, operator interface terminals (HMI), and Fanuc and ABB robotic systems. * Reading and using diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering instructions. * Maintain accurate records and data using maintenance software. RESPONSIBILITIES You may fit well into this role if you: * Have a basic knowledge of electronics and electrical theories, including digital circuitry, AC/DC theory, microprocessors, and logic systems. * Can work independently and use judgement to make effective and timely decisions. * Can work as a member of an electrical team and communicate technical information to other personnel. * Are comfortable working on a computer and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. QUALIFICATIONS Please consider applying if you have: * Electrical Technical School / Military equivalent or 2+ years Industrial electrical experience. * Have exposure to automated controls systems in a high-speed application. * Strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of PLC controls and computers. * Have current or past Low Voltage Safety Qualification (LVQ).
