Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking a First-Party Property-Insurance Defense Associate Attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida.Job Overview: The First Party Property - Insurance Defense Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting with case management, representing clients in litigation matters, and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, FL Bar License, and 3-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance law, preferably defense experience.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issuesDraft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefsAssist with case management and preparation for hearings, trials, and depositionsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal mattersParticipate in negotiations and settlement discussionsAttend court proceedings and represent and advise clients in litigation mattersMaintain accurate and organized case files and documentationRequirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolFL Bar LicenseStrong knowledge of legal principles and proceduresProficiency in legal research using Westlaw or Lexis-NexisExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to analyze complex legal issues, provide sound advice, and build rapport with clientsStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environmentPrior experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and litigation is preferred3-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance law, preferably defense experienceExperience in liability is also preferredBenefits: The firm offers benefits including Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, Paid time off, Retirement plan, and Vision insurance.
