Job Title: Superintendent - Commercial ConstructionLocation: Knoxville, TNCompany Overview: Join our dynamic team at a leading construction firm specializing in commercial projects across the Knoxville area. We're seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to oversee our commercial construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.Position Overview: As a Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining project schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor progress and quality of work, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Manage project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals. Provide leadership and guidance to on-site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.Requirements: 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and other construction documents. Familiarity with construction management software and tools. OSHA certification preferred.
