The person in this position works under the supervision of the Project Manager or Field Supervisor/Foreman as a field representative on installations, repairs, inspections, testing, and maintenance of low voltage fire alarm systems and sub-systems. Job Duties and Functions: * Install, repair, inspect, test and maintenance of fire alarm system projects as assigned. * Provide field customer service to customer and represent our business in a professional manner. * Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations as applicable to service, installation and maintenance of all systems, including OSHA safety standards. * Maintain vehicle, uniform and tools as the policy states. * Accurately complete all paperwork directly related to the service orders and projects. * Must be able to install conduit as necessary. * Must be able to train customers on the usage of all applicable products used in installation and/or upgrades. * Must be available to travel as necessary. * Must maintain a professional appearance at all times. * Must maintain confidentiality at all times. * All other duties as assigned. * Experience and Skills: Position Specific Requirements: * Valid state driver's license and proof of minimum liability insurance * AA or 2+ year(s) of additional experience * NICET II Fire Alarm CertificationPosition Specific Preferred Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of verifiable related work experience * NICET III or higher * OSHA 30 * Strong maintenance/testing experience * Current Secret Level or higher security clearance * Experience on the following systems: Monaco, Honeywell, EBI, BoschFS90, Notifier and/or major fire alarm systems * Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases Supervisory Responsibilities: * This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment: * This job operates in the office and field. This role routinely uses tools, safety equipment, computers, and phones. It may also routinely operate a vehicle or heavy machinery.Physical Demands: * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Travel: * This position requires up to 5% travel.Additional Requirements for Individual Role per Manager: * High school diploma or equivalent * Maintenance/testing background * Fire systems experience * Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) * Good communication skills to interface with customers * Able to call and schedule appointments, follow instructions and code requirements * Perform follow-up to ensure the client is ready for inspection * Attention to detail * Ability to work autonomously * Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude * Must be able to pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
