About Richmond State Hospital : Richmond State Hospital is about the people we serve and the community relationships we have developed dating back to 1890. Richmond State Hospital is a public behavioral health facility operated by the state of Indiana and one of six state psychiatric hospitals within the Family and Social Services Administration Division of Mental Health and Addiction. As part of a newly integrated system of state psychiatric hospitals, we serve consumers across the state as the Eastern Center of Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Services. Unit:based programming is augmented with campus:wide specialty groups. RSH has been a state leader in evidenced:based medication prescribing to both reduce the risks associated with polypharmacy and optimize clinical outcomes. The hospital clinical and medical leadership collaborate with the unit treatment teams to provide the most contemporary and comprehensive care possible. Salary Statement: The salary for this position traditionally starts at 23.29 per hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience. About the Job: As the LPN, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating patient care and clinical supervision of support staff. In this position, youwill assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: :Prioritizeand organizethe daily care of patients.:Makepatient care assignments and assist in creating treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical staff.:Provideongoing assessment and documentation of the patients physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge. :Direct support staff to coordinate the workflow on the unit and communicate problems to unit supervisors.:Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policies and procedures.:Developand implementnursing care plans for acute medical problems.:Complete medication administration supervision monitors and clinical observation notes for support staff.:Completerequired documentation of nursing notes, transfer forms, and other records:Educate patients and family members regarding medication, procedures and treatment goals and objectives.:Respond and intervene in emergency situations and agitated patients.:Provide orientation and support to staff to the unit.:Responsible for ensuring the proper
