Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is growing its team and seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our expanding construction division in Maryland City, MD. Herman Construction Group, Inc. operates under BBCH, a holding company of Bristol Bay Native Corporation. Key responsibilities for this role include managing schedules, overseeing subcontractors, communicating with clients and occupants, ensuring safety and health compliance, conducting assessments, providing site orientations, delivering specific training, and ensuring overall compliance. Location: Ft. Detrick, MD Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 annually Responsibilities:• Manage the overall quality and production of work to meet Contract Documents standards.• Supervise and oversee all project activities, including planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting.• Communicate and coordinate daily with the Project Manager.• Maintain regular communication with the Owner as needed.• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, contractors, owners, inspectors, and AHJ field coordination on a daily basis.• Ensure proper coordination between field staff, the Quality Control Manager, and the Site Safety and Health Officer.• Participate in pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings, and three-phase inspection meetings.• Organize and lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.• Attend and actively participate in weekly Owner’s meetings.• Review and have a good understanding of the subcontractor's scope of work.• Manage all necessary coordination to prevent extra work and ensure project completion within scope.• Familiarize yourself with the subcontractor's budget and cost structure.• Review and understand the Baseline Project Schedule.• Provide input on dates, durations, and coordination on a monthly basis.• Develop detailed short-term look-ahead schedules on a weekly basis.• Conduct coordination meetings as required to support the Project Schedule.• Coordinate with Subcontractors and Owner for progress billing on a monthly basis.• Oversee quality control and safety programs on the project site.• Manage deliveries, staging, loading, and unloading activities.• Supervise the usage of equipment on site, such as cranes or earth-moving equipment.• Ensure project compliance with national and/or local building codes.• Maintain accurate daily records of project activities. Qualifications:• Must possess ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) for Federal projects.• Demonstrated experience in managing USACE (United States Army Corps of Engineers) Projects is required.• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in overseeing similar projects, including building renovations and new construction.• OSHA 30-hour certification is mandatory.• Proficiency in Procore software is essential.• Familiarity with RMS (Resource Management Software) is preferred.• Proficient in using Word, Excel, and PDF applications.• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and provide acceptable references and background check results is a prerequisite.
