The successful candidate will be responsible for leading trials and arbitrations, developing trial strategies, conducting depositions, and defending key witnesses. The position requires a strong background in healthcare or life sciences, with at least 7 years of experience as lead trial counsel.Duties:Serve as first chair at trials and arbitrationsPrepare and present opening and closing statementsConduct direct and cross-examination of witnessesPrepare and argue motions in limine and motions for directed verdictDevelop strategies for trials and final hearings in arbitrationConduct depositions of key witnessesDefend depositions of key witnessesConduct oral argument on substantive/dispositive motionsPrepare pre-hearing and post-hearing briefsRequirements:7+ years of experience as lead trial counselExperience in healthcare or life sciences (preferred)Conducted at least 15 trials as lead counselCertified Civil Trial Attorney (a plus)Admitted to practice in NY, NJ, and/or PA (willingness to become admitted to NY, NJ, or PA if not already admitted)Strong oral communication skillsExceptional writing skillsTeam-player mindsetStrong work ethicEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Certified Civil Trial Attorney (a plus)Skills:Trial advocacy skillsLegal research and writingDeposition and cross-examination skillsOral argument skillsTrial strategy developmentAdmissions and motion practiceCase managementJob Location: Pine Brook, NJBenefits: The firm offers a hybrid schedule, competitive salary, and a full range of benefits, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) (upon participation eligibility), on-site gym, and opportunities for substantial salary progression based on performance and contributions.
