REMOTE WORK FROM HOME Complete coverage analysis, identify all policyholder benefits, create additional sub-claims if needed, and handle highly complex catastrophic injury claims. *** Review claims, contact insured and other affected parties, set expectations for claim process, and initiate documentation in claim handling system. *** Investigate claim to determine: claim payments, applicable limits or exclusions, and possible recovery potential. *** Collaborate with insureds, physicians' offices, and medical insurance carriers to obtain necessary information to complete claims review process. *** Utilize estimation software to evaluate financial value of loss (work loss claims); approve payments for appropriate parties; and refer claims to other company units (Underwriting, Recovery Units or Claims Special Investigation Unit) when necessary. *** Work with Personal Injury Protection unit to resolve claims involving quadriplegic, traumatic brain, amputations, and other catastrophic injuries. *** Negotiate complex claim settlements. *** Subrogate claims. *** Obtain Insurance Institute of America's General Insurance Program, Associate in Claims, Associate in Management, or similar accreditations. *** Stay apprised of changes to Negligence, No-Fault, and Fair Trade Practices Act, and similar laws.
