Learning holistically through nature exploration is a major component of our programming in addition to learning practical life skills such as cooking, gardening, and caring for one's environment. Duties JOB DUTIESWe are searching for Passionate educators to join us on this revolutionary and exciting journey! Elementary teachers are responsible for teaching a 3-year age cycle of looping students, with an equal ratio of students in each cycle year and maximum of 18 students. Teachers will be equipped with traditional Montessori materials, Montessori Curriculum, and Progress Report Software to aid them within the classroom and ensure material is meeting all state teaching standards. Teachers will be required to help guide students on their educational journey in, but not limited to, the following ways:? Completing Progress reporting through frequent observations? Providing timely feedback to students? Lesson planning? Implementing curriculum in a meaningful way? Being prepared? Providing small group & one on one instruction? Implementing Montessori lessons: impressionistic & abstract? Communicating with parents? Collaborating and leveraging peer educators? Meeting with students? Adapting teaching methods and learning paths for each student? Fostering a love of learning? Leading Labs, Socratic Seminars & Project based learning? Maintaining a clean and purposeful environment? Supporting students in a kind and respectful way? Leading Parent/teacher conferences? Assisting Students to develop & structure student-led conferences? Maintaining a safe and collaborative studio atmosphere? Acting as a good role model in attitude, speech, and actions? Teaching core academic subjects and general electives such as gardening, keyboarding,and cursiveTeachers will be responsible for ensuring that all students are being challenged individually and are meeting and exceeding all state required testing standards in a way that is meaningful to each student.
