Recruiter: Nicole Rangel Contact: (559) 712-XXXX Overview: As an Accounting Specialist, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for managing specialized accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances. Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets. Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed. Specialized Accounting Functions: Manage specific accounting functions such as inventory accounting, revenue recognition, or fixed asset accounting. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation. Coordinate with auditors and provide requested information in a timely manner. Participate in audit meetings and assist in resolving audit findings. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Develop and implement controls to mitigate financial risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize processes. Training and Support: Provide training and support to accounting staff on specialized accounting topics. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for accounting-related inquiries. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on specialized accounting functions. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
