The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is accepting applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level starting in July 2024. Candidates must have the capability to teach graduate-level courses, conduct research, and supervise graduate-student research in the field of electromagnetics (EM), including antennas, propagation, microwave circuits, radar, electronic warfare (EW), electro-optics (EO) and related areas. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of academic experience and/or industrial work experience. The candidate must be able to qualify for a DoD security clearance. The candidate must possess an earned PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field. A candidate's publication/patent record will be taken into consideration, as will past or present experience with DoD programs, especially military radar and electronic warfare systems.NPS is a fully accredited graduate school with students from all branches of the U.S. armed services, as well as foreign military officers. U.S. citizenship is required and salary is competitive. Monterey is a short drive south from the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay area and is ideally situated along the spectacular central California coast.Applicants will be reviewed as they are received and the position will remain open until filled.
