Because there's too much at stake to go solo. Our Engineering Team is seeking a hybrid Senior UX/UI Designer, Applications. You would be responsible for designing intuitive graphical user interfaces, and networking applications with a pleasing user experience for TrellisWare's wireless communication products, using today's modern software frameworks and technologies. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members, as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. The essential duties and responsibilities include: Designing web, PC, or mobile application user interfaces. Enhancing and maintaining a suite of wireless networking configuration and situational awareness tools. Design using intuitive visualization techniques for minimal user cognitive load. Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with Product Management and Software Development. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, wireframes, process flows, and mockups. Preparing and presenting initial design drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders. Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems, incorporate end user feedback. Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect. Education and work experience requirements are: Bachelor's degree in Design or Computer Science . Five to eight plus years of industry experience designing user interface applications. Experience designing contemporary user interface solutions, represented in a portfolio of design projects. To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here: Working well independently and within a team environment is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma or Sketch) is required. Current with design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, or experience with Adobe XD is required. The ability to design for multiple screen sizes and resolutions is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong artistic and creative ability is essential. The ability to think from a user's perspective is essential. Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills. Strong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization skills. Effective execution and decision making. Champion of change and promotes innovation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $115-$165k, annually.
