Description: Lockheed Martin is looking for a small arms repair specialist at Fort Liberty, NC. To: Augment existing maintenance systems to ensure all weapons are properly maintained IAW manufacturers recommendations, Army regulations, DOD, USSOCOM, local policies and general maintenance practices. Provide interface with USAJFKSWCS, USSOCOM, and DOD for weapon life cycle and logistic support considerations and policy. Provide training support in areas of weapons maintenance, functioning, performing corrective actions, and firing. Make sound recommendations when diagnosing, fabricating, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of U.S. standard weapons as well as Foreign, non-standard, and legacy weapons, The maintenance will be at the -20, -30, -40 needed repair levels. Perform weapon inspections, repairs and parts replacement such as bolts, stocks, barrels, pistol grips, bolt stock assemblies, barrel extensions, recoil buffers upper receivers, feed trays and assemblies drive rods and assemblies. Repair and replace bipods, tripod and mounts and assemblies. Examine and inventory items received to verify identity, part number, quantity with shipment documentation. Check for and report all discrepancies and damage as well as take appropriate action to correct discrepancies. Basic Qualifications: -prior service as 91F, USMC 2111, Air Force Small Arms enlisted repair specialist, USN NECC Org Level or NSW Enhanced Org level (Small Arms).Poses a valid unencumbered state drivers license.Maintain files in accordance with applicable Army, Navy, and DOD regulations.At least 3 years experience in the maintenance field.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, therefore must be a US Citizen. Desired Skills: be familiar and comply with all local, USSOCOM, and DOD accountability and physical security requirements for weapons and ammunition.Work independently (with little to no supervision).Able to make sound recommendations when diagn9osing, fabricating, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of US, Foreign, Non-standard and legacy weapons at the -20, -30, -40 levels of maintenance.Be familiar with AR 25-50 and able to write correspondence in a military format when necessary.Be able to operate a stand alone computer without assistance and be proficient with Microsoft office Applications. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
