Practice Area: Energy and Oil & Gas - Litigation - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Mid-Level FERC Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience who is interested in administrative litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) involving oil and gas pipelines, FERC electricity regulation, and FERC Enforcement actions.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis related to FERC regulations, policies, and case law.Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.Represent clients in administrative proceedings before FERC, including hearings and settlement negotiations.Assist with trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings as needed.Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and client communication.Manage case files, documents, and deadlines effectively.Requirements:3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in administrative law and/or energy regulation.Interest in FERC administrative litigation involving oil and gas pipelines, FERC electricity regulation, and FERC Enforcement actions.Experience with complex litigation research and analysis.Excellent organizational and writing skills, with attention to detail.Admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for admission.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for admission.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in energy law or regulatory compliance is a plus.Familiarity with FERC regulations and procedures is preferred.
