Financial Analyst : Cost Accounting

: As a Cost Accountant (Financial Analyst) your goal is to support your assigned plant location and business unit through performance of accounting functions related to cost accounting such as: month:end closing, reporting, analysis of operations, and other financial analysis process:related activities. You will do this by: dirltr::Performing month:end closing which includes: calculating accrual/reserve balances and discussing calculations with management for subjective nature accounts to arrive at decision; analyzing general ledger account data for accuracy and adjusting accounts if necessary; booking various other journal entries and statistical key figures.:Preparing reports daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to sales, inventory, production, raw material purchasing and cost of quality.:Reviewing variance account posting for accuracy throughout the month, assists with correcting system transactions.:Reviewing detail of accounts and follows:up on month:end closing items when necessary. Reviews account reconciliations on a monthly basis and maintains a log of sign:offs for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.:Working with external auditors quarterly and at year:end; includes providing audit work papers as well as requested supporting documentation, walks auditors through calculations and provides data for various other detailed testing on warranty, title transfers, price testing and inventory cut:offs. You are the kind of person who is/has: dirltr::self:motivated:a desire to learn:the ability to work in a fast paced environment : Required Qualifications: dirltr::Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent education and experience:Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Preferred Qualifications: dirltr::Minimum of one year of accounting/finance experience:SAP Experience:Manufacturing Experience Additional Knowledge and Skills: dirltr::Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles:Analytical skills necessary to review/analyze accounting and financial data, substantiate financial statement balances and prepare financial statement account reconciliation:Ability to identify, measure, evaluate and improve, if necessary, the effectiveness of accounting, financial, managerial and operational controls:Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of people in a team environment:Well:developed customer service skills with the ability to interface with all levels:Advanced computer skills including advanced knowledge of and experience working with spreadsheet software:Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to accuracy and detail Travel Required: :Some potential for travel for training purposes, minimal as needed Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
