Client Summary: Our client is a 349-bed facility that has served New York's Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. Our Patient Pavilion, includes 263 private patient rooms, 30 private intensive care rooms, 13 surgical suites and 66 emergency and trauma center rooms. Summary of Need: Preparing biological samples for testing, including tissue, blood, urine, spinal fluid, and gastric juices. Performing serological, bacteriological, biochemical, hematological, and microbiological examinations on samples. Conducting blood group, type, and compatibility tests, as well as full blood counts. Counting the cells in prepared samples, as wells as microorganisms, including bacteria or parasites. Analyzing biochemical composition and determining the presence of drug chemicals. Determining whether sample parameters fall within normal ranges and identifying abnormalities. Summarizing results and reporting findings in electronic format to referring physicians and medical specialists, as well as collaborating on patient care. Inventorizing laboratory stock and supplies, as well as ordering replenishments. Maintaining and calibrating equipment, including analyzers, colorimeters, flame photometers, and spectrophotometers. Adhering to best practices in medical laboratory sciences and keeping up with advancements in the field. Additional Remarks: Medical Surgical with a concentration in Nephrology # of Beds / Rooms / Bays: 31 to 40 Scrub Color Blue-Navy; Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:6;1:5;1:7;Goal when staffed 1:5, can be up to 1:7 due to staffing challenges; Call Required: No Areas of Float Support: Medical Surgical Units Select Age Group of Patient Population Seen/Treated: Adult; Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Renal Disease, sepsis, CHF, osteomyelitis, pneumonia, Renal Failure Special Procedures: Perferred but willing to train on peritoneal dialysis Select All Applicable Line Management/Equipment: Drains;Feeding Tubes;Fistula;PICC/Central Lines;Port-A-Cath/Vascula Device Access/Care;Wound Vac; Equiliem specializes in staffing clinical, non-clinical, and allied personnel.
