Description:
VIRTUAL ALCOHOL AND DRUG TRAINEE (ADT) (minimum) COUNSELOR NEEDED FOR AN IOP PROGRAM. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to provide one on one drug and alcohol consultation to clients: along with individual and group therapy in a virtual setting for an outpatient program. The Addiction Counselor also provides crisis intervention and assists with behavioral health needs and issues including mental illness, developmental and learning disabilities, substance use, etc. Great pay and work from the comfort of your own home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides addiction-related health and psychosocial assessments/intakes Assists with analyzing of client health needs and establishes applicable treatment programs Provides individual and group treatment/therapy Consults staff in regard to diagnosis and treatment planning when appropriate Provides crisis intervention to align with clinical standards and programming Assigns clients to special programs or placements to meet health needs and/or legal requirements Provides proper clinical documentation per policy Communicates to advise, clinical staff on treatment planning and client goals Helps family members understand their role in the recovery process and assists with coping and family-related issues Modifies treatment programs as necessary based off observations Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: Must be an ADT (minimum) and we will provide a Board approved alcohol and drug supervisor. Experience in behavioral health guidelines, to include behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, clinical management of patients with mental illness and / or substance abuse issues preferred Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice Must meet all federal, state and local requirements for Medicaid billing Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required Computer proficiency required Must be at least 18 years of age
