POSITION: MEMORY LAB COORDINATOR FULL-TIME: Exempt (4 0 hours per week.) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-6pm, with occasional weekend and evening hours. SALARY: $53,394 DESCRIPTION: The Patrick Heath Public Library invites applicants to apply for a Memory Lab Coordinator position to manage and enhance the Patrick Heath Public Library’s Memory Lab. This five-year grant project, funded by the Mellon Foundation, will manage the day-to-day operations of the PHPL Memory Lab and ongoing local and family history archives digitization projects, and implement and manage the activities funded through the Mellon Foundation grant to enhance community cultural wealth. The successful candidate is collaborative, a creative problem solver, a people person, a strong communicator, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has experience with community archives development and management and a passion for history. Spanish language proficiency is preferred. The PHPL is a modern library offering innovative, customer-focused services with a warm, small-town feel. In a casual and collaborative environment, library staff strives to successfully fulfill the needs of customers with respect and integrity. We are a cohesive team of engaging people who work together to provide excellent customer experiences. In addition to lending physical and digital items, the library offers access to the Internet, technology, study spaces as well as meeting rooms, programs and seminars for all ages, notary and proctoring services, local and family history archives and research, Spanish-language materials and so much more. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in related field ; or experience and training in digitization and personal and community archiving or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
