Pediatric Dental Assistant

Description:

The Pediatric Dental Assistant provides the Pediatric Dentist with assistance in the delivery of dental care and service in order to achieve the best possible treatment for the patient. The specialty dental assistant must be proficient with pediatric or general assisting (pediatric experience preferred). Perform all dental procedures permitted consistent with the applicable state laws and regulations. Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, while maintaining a good report with children and parents. Proficient with Prophy, SDF, Sealants, matrix band placement, topical anesthesia and protective restorations. Assist with hospital cases including management of patients, anesthesia preparation, assisting and medical emergencies. Job Qualifications Sealant certificate required or willing to obtain. Oregon Oregon Dental Radiologic Proficiency certificate, required or willing to obtain. Oregon EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) certificate, required or willing to obtain. Flexibility to travel to other WDG locations within a reasonable range as described in our Travel Policy as needed based on business need.
