Communications Director

Location:
Atlanta, GA
Description:

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Communications Director to oversee and enhance communication strategies across a network of 200 primary care pediatric practices. This pivotal role aims to develop and implement communication initiatives that are easily accessible and immediately actionable for practices. The Communications Director will leverage various tools, including AI and focus groups, to understand and support practice needs effectively, ensuring all marketing efforts, including contracted design resources, deliver high-impact materials and campaigns that improve patient compliance and motivate staff. This is a locally remote position – meaning you need to be within driving distance of Atlanta to attend meetings. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the clinical integrated network leadership team and external partners to develop communication strategies that support clinical integration and operational efficiency. Use focus groups and other engagement activities to identify practices' communication preferences and topics of interest. Campaign Material Development: Develop and oversee the production of campaign materials tailored for key practice areas, using contracted design resources to create printed and laminated documents, dialogue materials, and 'Call Me First' campaign tools. Ensure all materials are designed for easy implementation and use within practice settings, adhering to a plug-and-play philosophy. Educational and Tracking Tools: Initiate and manage the creation of educational tools and tracking resources for vaccine compliance and other critical health metrics. Facilitate the development of both digital and manual tracking tools that can be easily integrated into practice operations. Communication and Recognition Initiatives: Design and execute communication initiatives such as social media campaigns, email graphics for 'Weekly Wins,' and quality achievement celebrations, all optimized for easy adaptation and use by practices. Develop visual tools like a 'quality thermometer' to visually track and celebrate progress toward health goals. AI Integration and Advocacy: Champion the integration and effective use of AI tools in streamlining communication processes, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and personalizing patient communications. Collaborate with IT staff to better utilize AI for improving practice communications. Project Management and Vendor Management: Oversee all aspects of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring seamless coordination and quality control with contracted designers and other external vendors. Resources Required: Personnel: Manage relationships with contracted design and marketing professionals. Materials: Secure access to high-quality printing, lamination, and digital tools for effective campaign management. Budget: Allocate funds for the development, production, and distribution of communication materials and contracting with external resources. Evaluation Metrics: Engagement Metrics: Measure the uptake and feedback on the use and effectiveness of campaign materials and social media initiatives. Staff Feedback: Collect feedback on the usability and impact of communication and recognition initiatives on staff motivation and satisfaction. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: At least 7 years of strategic communication experience within a healthcare setting, including significant experience managing external vendors and project teams. Skills: Expertise in developing and implementing plug-and-play communication strategies. Strong project management and vendor management skills. Proficient in the strategic use of AI and digital tools in communications. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of pediatric healthcare operations and compliance requirements.
